Your Vi21on, Our Mission: Lingkod E.R. – UST’s 21st Year of Saving Lives was a three - phase community development project that took place in Sitio Malasa, Bamban, Tarlac across three days.
 
The first phase of the project took place on January 26, 2019. This phase was an ocular activity and general interaction with our partner community to determine the needs of the people who lived there. CPR - Ready Philippines

CPR – Ready Philippines was an event Lingkod E.R. – UST held in partnership with Philippine Heart Association, UST Hospital Section of Cardiology, University of Santo Tomas, and UST Red Cross Youth Council. It was an event held at the UST P. Noval Court on the anniversary of the Sam Boy Lim Law, an act that mandates the training of CPR in schools and communities. DZMM Medical Missions

Last October 6, Lingkod ER-UST joined the movement with ABS-CBN DZMM (public service on wheels) on a Medical mission held at Villa Monica Resort, Pateros. It was the initiative of the Women’s board of St. Luke’s medical center to organize a healthcare program for the municipal city of Pateros. MindOUT: Rethink Mental Health

The preparation of the venue began at 5:00PM followed by the registration of the attendees on December 7, 2018. The program started with an opening prayer followed by the introduction of the first speaker, Mr. Jose Ygbuhay who has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Master’s degree in Guidance and Counseling. Mr. Ygbuhay shared his experiences about stress and teenage depression. So Stressedt: Stress Management Seminar

The So Stressedt! Seminar aimed to give help Thomasian students cope healthily with the different stressors in their lives. It taught the audience the different factors or circumstances that ca bring stress to one’s life, how the body reacts to it, and how they can manage their stress properly. Mr. Robert Gonzales spoke about his experiences growing up and how he turned all his hardships into his accomplishments. He spoke about how stress doesn’t have to be an obstacle.

Once again, the annual pre-med talk hosted by the Lingkod E.R. - UST was held last 27 April 2019 at the Benavides Auditorium. After a brief but jovial introduction by the emcees, the opening remarks by Lingkod E.R. Secretary Heather Sarangay, the talk then commenced with a promise and purpose of assisting any curious and aspiring students considering a possible career in the field of medicine, and give a rough outline of what one might need for the journey ahead.

Recruitment 101: Kabayanihan

Recruitment Fair 101 was a week-long event where University-wide organizations set up recruitment booths at UST Plaza Mayor in order to gather members for the incoming academic year. Every day there were different performances that took place on stage in order to excite and engage Thomasian passers-by.

Level Up!: Lingkod E.R. General Assembly 2018

Lingkod E.R. – UST held its annual General Assembly on the evening of October 13, 2018. The preparation of the venue began at 5:00PM, followed by the registration of the attendees. Health Awareness Program

The Health Awareness Committee is composed of directors and coordinators who are passionate in the fulfillment of the UN Sustainable Development Goals primarily, Good Health. Their advocacy is that health education is for all, and they achieve information dissemination through online platforms. The DOH's events calendar is the framework for creating campaigns (ie. dengue awareness, breast cancer, national lung month etc.). The research is focused on topics/articles that are of public health concern and publication materials are made to increase the engagement of Lingkod E.R.-UST. To make it efficient, the team coordinates with the Designs Committee. Offline, the Health Awareness program promotes health in the community by giving free seminars during medical missions.

Emergency Room Volunteer Program

The Emergency Room Volunteer program is a program that lets students volunteer in the Emergency room where they can observe and gain knowledge to the current E.R setting in a hospital.

The process of how the program is done is that only members of the Lingkod E.R- UST can sign up and join the Emergency Room Volunteer Program. Every month there will be a post wherein members can choose a day and shift they would like to volunteer on. Currently there are 2 shifts per day where members can volunt . . .

Patient Assistance Program

The Patient Assistance Program is the heart of the Lingkod E.R- UST. It is a program where medicines are donated to the indigent patients of the emergency room in the UST Hospital Clinical Division. Every process of the Patient Assistance Program is reported to the Lingkod E.R Foundation headed by the Founder of both Lingkod E.R-UST and Lingkod E.R Foundation, Dr. Luisa Ticzon-Puyat.

On February 6-8, 2019, Lingkod E.R.-UST partnered with the UST Hospital Blood Bank to conduct a mass blood collection event entitled Keep the Beat: Lingkod E.R.-UST Blood Drive.
